  Next defence budget to be up by Rs 50 billion

16/04/12  The government has decided to raise defence budget by Rs 50 billion in the next fiscal.

In this way, the volume of defence budget would be up from Rs 495 billion to Rs 545 billion.

The target of economic ratio of production would be 4.5%.

According to officials of Ministry for Finance, the target of tax recoveries would be set by Rs 2338 billion while provinces would be provided Rs 373 billion in grants.

The budget deficit would be Rs 1125 billion.

The finance ministry also said that the provinces would be given Rs 1421 billion under the National Finance Commission Award.
