Four Al-Qaeda suspects killed in Karachi operation

09/01/15  KARACHI - Atleast four suspected terrorists including Al-Qaeda’s Karachi Emir, Sajjad were killed during Crime Investigation Department (CID) operation in Qayyumabad area on Friday morning.

According to Senior Superintendant of Police (SSP) Umar Khattab, the terrorists were operating an Al-Qaeda network in the metropolis.

Other killed militants were identified as Muhammad Hashim, Irfan and Shamim aka Commando. The police have recovered suicide jackets, sub- machine guns (SMG) and other weapons.

In another incident, two gang war suspects were killed in an exchange of fire with police in Baghdadi area of Lyari.

According to SSP Javed Jiskani, the suspects were recognized as Abid and Irfan.

The accused were involved in murder cases of more than 10 people. The police have recovered heavy weapons from their possession.
